Recently got 2 90lb powerblock kits for $500. An absolute steal. After a few years my starter pair dual adjustables fell apart. (Smartbell brand, recalled, but went to 90lb)
How bulky they are, made for a learning curve for me. (im not particularly tall, buff midget build)im not a fan of the bars around the handle I guess they are support structures? Customer service is fast to respond, and painless to interact with, i needed the green weight rail replaced.
Although they are in F tier, I got free loadable dumbbells from my father, so that’s what I use for now!
You put dumbbells in S tier that get stuck every time you want to return them to the base… you rate many of the cheap dumbbells with ridiculous quality (dropshipping brand) in tier B and tier C in a totally subjective way, putting them at the same level as the PB Pro 100 EXP… I’ve seen few of your reviews that aren’t biased by strange criteria…
I paid $209 in March ’26 during an amazon sale day for a pair of CAP adjustable dumbbells (I bought the version that resembles rubber hexes a bit more than the older rounded look) – For the price, Functionality, Build, and Look I’d put them in S-Tier at the BARE MINIMUM (They might warrant a new category, or force you to bump all others down one to make space at the top. they have been a tremendous surprise for my home gym – I use them daily. The only down side is that they only go up to 55 lbs. – so you’ll definitely need to supplement and I wouldn’t recommend dropping them as though they are a rubber HEX even though they feel like they would hold up to light drops
