A quality waterproof running jacket has pretty much become an essential item of kit for most runners these days. Unfortunately, they have also become very expensive over the last five to six years, and you will struggle to find a decent waterproof running jacket under £150.
So when I heard that Harrier were updating their very reasonably priced Exmoor Waterproof Jacket, I thought it would be a good idea to test one out here on the channel. With a high waterproof and breathability rating, a new lighter, stripped back design, and a price point of just £94.99, it sounded almost too good to be true.
So let’s dive into the video and find out how the jacket performed.

Great review! That popper definitely is too low there in the front, was my first thought during the video. All other brands put them just 10-15cm below the top of the zip that just makes sense to keep it on your shoulder while running, strange decision to put in the middle. But the features and price makes this an amazing deal, hopefully with the next iteration that popper issue will be fixed to make this the best good quality budget option on the market.
I would rather keep vents and remove pockets since anyhow we are usually have running vaste anyhow

This is an amazing jacket and so glad to see more colours being released in Autumn 2026, so glad I stumbled on this video – great review and the jacket is so much better than gore tex ones that dont allow sweat to escape.
While I do like mine, I won’t wear it unless it’s really stotting down. It is extremely waterproof, but it isn’t as well ventilated as I’d like and honestly need. For me medium rain is the break even point, less than that and I’m dryer without the jacket. Without more ventilation it strikes me as better suited to hikers.
Just to be fair I have to point out I haven’t yet had the chance to try it in a proper downpour, I might become more impressed with mine later in the year.
